This is how Pixel Buds work, the Google headsets that translate conversations in 40 languages in real time

Google's new headphones with artificial intelligence are capable, says the company, of translating conversations in real time in 40 languages.

The Google Pixel Buds not only have the same functionality as any other wireless headset - they are useful for listening to the call audio, music or the mobile voice assistant - but are also able to translate conversations instantly, yours or those of other people.

Any mobile phone with Android OS 7.0 or higher detects them. Then the Google voice wizard asks if you want to connect the phone to the Pixel Buds. With several touches or your finger pressed you can ask the assistant to play music, a call, directions to a place you want to visit or reminders of your dating calendar.

What's really new about its competitors - AirPods, for example, from the iPhone - is that the user who owns a Pixel Buds can be multilingual. They work like this. The gadget is capable of translating 40 languages in real time. And it is an emission and reception functionality.

You can press the headset and ask the "Help me speak English" voice assistant (or choose another language, up to 40 languages). While you are having a conversation, the speaker of the Pixel phone plays your words in that language. If it's someone who asks you, the Buds will translate these words in the moment.

The Pixel Buds arrive in three colors, but the bad news is that they are released in November only in the US, Canada, UK, Germany and Singapore.
