Samsung invoices more for the sale of iPhone X than for its S8

Biology manuals say that species that make symbiosis with others are those that benefit each other in a way that none can survive without the other, and that occurs mainly in hostile environments. Apple and Samsung are a clear example of symbiosis in the business world.

It may seem at first glance that Apple and Samsung are two rival companies, irreconcilable and fighting for every inch of the market that can leave the other. Nothing could be further from the truth.

South Korean Samsung has been one of the biggest beneficiaries of Apple's handset since many years ago and now, finally, data can be put into this symbiosis relationship between the two companies.

According to a report published by The Washington Post, Samsung will pocket about $ 110 for each iPhone X that Apple sells from November. The reason? The interior components of the Apple terminal and its display.

With such a high number of sales that Apple has, the company of Cupertino has to constantly rely on Samsung to manufacture the OLED screens that come with most of the latest terminals, just like the NAND flash memory.

These two components will bring to Samsung, paradoxically, more benefits than you will get by selling your Samsung S8 terminal. The forecasts are that they sell 50 million of its own terminals, reason why it enters about 200 dollars for each one.

However the sales forecasts for the iPhone X are already at 130 million in the first 18 months, so it will give Samsung about 13.26 billion dollars, while for the Samsung S8 'only' will enter 10 billion.

Of course, Apple is already looking for new suppliers in Japan with Toshiba, Sharp and Japan Display. Nor is it plan to feed the competition more direct.
