Apple Co-founder launches online institute for those seeking a career in the technology industry.
Steve Wozniak, who created Apple along with Steve Jobs, just released "Woz U", an online university that, according to Woz himself, is "education, reprogrammed."
Students have access 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, online programs with instructors and live mentors, a video-based curriculum. The advantage of this, of course, is the time flexibility of those who work; can take classes and courses at the time that most benefits them.
At the moment, we have the careers of: complete software development, which will teach .Net, JavaScript, Ruby, Java and Python; and Computer Support Specialist. By 2018, Data Science, Mobile Application and Cyber Security are scheduled to launch.
And not everything will stay online. Woz U plans to open a campus in 30 cities around the world. The teaching is not limited to the Woz U itself, as programs are offered for schools to apply, as well as a "Woz U Enterprise", which would help businesses train current employees in new technologies.
